Skadoosie FAQs
Baby-soft Velcro refers to a gentler, softer type of hook-and-loop fastener—less rigid and abrasive than standard Velcro. The hooks and loops are designed to avoid newborns’ sensitive skin, and Skadoosies are specifically constructed so that no Velcro ever touches your baby directly. This allows the garment to open widely (wrap around) so it doesn’t have to be pulled over the baby’s head for changes, making dressing and diaper changes simpler and more comfortable.
Comfort: Snaps or zippers can pinch, scratch, or irritate baby skin. With Skadoosie’s design, those risks are eliminated.
Ease of use: Baby-soft Velcro opens and closes quickly, especially helpful during middle-of-the-night diaper changes or for caregivers with limited dexterity.
Rear diaper check: Skadoosies feature a slot that allows for quick diaper checks without fully removing the outfit.
Safety & simplicity: No tiny parts like snaps that could fail, detach, or pose a choking risk.
To maintain durability and softness:
• Wash in cold or warm water on a gentle cycle.
• Fasten the Velcro tabs before washing to prevent snagging.
• Tumble dry on low or hang to dry.
• Avoid high heat to preserve the Velcro’s hold.
• Occasionally clear out lint from the Velcro to keep it fastening strongly.
